Animal Memory

Turn over two cards at a time and find the matching animal friends.

๐ŸŒฑ

What your child practices

Visual memory, attention, matching, and friendly turn taking.

๐Ÿงบ

What you need

Printed sheet and scissors. Cardstock makes sturdier cards but is optional.

๐Ÿ‘

Get ready

Cut out all cards. Mix them and lay them face down in rows, leaving space between cards.

How to play

  1. 1The youngest player goes first, then take turns clockwise.
  2. 2On your turn, turn over any two cards so everyone can see them.
  3. 3If the animals match, keep the pair and take another turn. If not, turn them face down in the same place.
  4. 4Keep playing until all pairs are found. The player with the most pairs wins, or work together to find every pair.
Make it easier or trickier: Use just three pairs to begin. For a bigger challenge, add all six pairs and try to remember where each animal lives.
